baked donuts

vegan donuts topped with both our wake + flake flavors, because why choose one when you can have both

ingredients

  • wake + flake granola (pick your favorite flavor)

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt (a little less)

  • heaping 1/2 teaspoon of trader joe’s cocoa cinnamon sugar blend

  • a little over a 1/2 cup of oat milk

  • 1 tablespoon of butter (used earth balance vegan butter)

  • 1 tablespoon of applesauce

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 2-2 1/2 tablespoons of powdered sugar

  • 1/2 bar - 1 full bar of chocolate

  • fresh fruit of your choice

steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

  2. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, coca cinnamon mix, salt) and mix well.

  3. Add the wet ingredients (oat milk, butter, applesauce, vanilla) and mix well.

  4. Spray your donut pan (we recommend a silicone one) with non stick spray. Fill ~3/4 of the way with the donut batter.

  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the donuts rise and become light brown

  6. While baking break up the chocolate bar and melt the pieces in the microwave. We recommend adding ~a teaspoon of coconut oil and heating/ stirring in one minute intervals.

  7. Put two tablespoons of powdered sugar in a separate bowl and add a SPLASH of oat milk and stir thoroughly. (add more powdered sugar if frosting becomes too runny)

  8. Take out donuts and let them cool. Then dip them in your desired frosting ( sugar or chocolate)

  9. Add fresh fruit and your desired wake+ flake granola topping. We recommend goji chocolate with the chocolate frosting and blueberry almond with the sugar one.
